Three ways we help
Whether the camera is already on the line or still an idea, here's where we come in.
Vision System Health Check
“Is my system still catching what it should?”
Lighting ages, parts change, someone loosened a threshold to stop the false rejects. We test your system against known good and bad parts and show you where it stands.
Detection test with real defects
Statistics on how repeatable it is
Check against your quality standards
Written report and fix plan
New Inspection
“What's the right system for this inspection?”
Short shots, missing features, labels, codes, dimensions. We scope it, pick the hardware, integrate it, and prove it works on your line before we call it done.
Feasibility test on your actual parts
Camera, lens and lighting selection
PLC and line integration
Validation with documented results
Support & Tuning
“Who keeps it running after install?”
New part revision, new supplier, false rejects creeping up. We retrain, troubleshoot and check in on a schedule so your operators stop bypassing the camera.
Retraining for part and process changes
Troubleshooting, on site or remote
Scheduled check-ups
Operator and technician training
We pick the system that fits your part. Not the one we're paid to sell.
Most integrators are a sales channel for one camera brand. We're not tied to hardware sales, so the recommendation starts with your part, your line speed and your budget.
We work across Cognex, Keyence and other platforms, and we'll integrate with equipment you already own when it can do the job.
How a project runs
Four steps, no surprises. You see the plan and the price before anything gets bolted to your line.
1
Scope
We walk the line, handle the parts and agree on what good and bad look like.
2
Quote
A fixed scope and a clear price, with the hardware choice explained.
3
Install & prove
Bench test with your parts, install, then validate on the running line.
4
Support
Training, documentation, and check-ups so it keeps working next year too.
Hi, I'm Nick.
My MS in Automotive Engineering took me to Germany, where I spent a year developing vision systems. Then I spent five years in automotive manufacturing, where an escaped defect means a containment, a customer complaint and a long week.
I started VisionSpect because too many plants have a camera on the line that nobody fully trusts. It was installed, tuned once, and left alone. I'd rather integrate systems that still work two years later, and help the people running them understand why.

In every interaction, VisionSpect has demonstrated a combination of technical depth and real professionalism. Their understanding of vision systems and manufacturing processes is clear and well-grounded, and their problem solving approach is thoughtful, structured, and methodical.
I have no hesitation recommending Nick and VisionSpect to any manufacturer looking for a sharp, dependable partner on their inspection and vision systems.
